AWS Health introduces the version catalog for software lifecycle management

Today, AWS Health introduces the version catalog which provides a centralized source of lifecycle information for software versions across AWS services. The version catalog helps customers move from reactive to proactive management of version upgrades and end-of-support risk. Amazon Bedrock Managed Knowledge Base now supports ServiceNow as a native data source connector

AWS announces the ServiceNow data source connector for Amazon Bedrock Managed Knowledge Base, a fully managed retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) service. Customers can now connect their ServiceNow instance to crawl knowledge articles and service catalog items directly into their managed knowledge base. Amazon SageMaker Unified Studio CI/CD adds notebook promotion and AI-assisted manifest generation

Amazon SageMaker Unified Studio CI/CD expands its open-source deployment toolkit with two new capabilities: (1) an AI agent skill that automates manifest authoring, and (2) native notebook promotion across environments. Together, they help data teams go from project to production faster while maintaining best-practice defaults across stages. AI-assisted manifest generation. The new generate-bundle-manifest agent skill inspects a project's connections, storage, and workflows and produces a ready-to-use deployment manifest. It applies least-privilege IAM guidance, substitutes environment variables in place of hardcoded resource identifiers, an…

Amazon CloudWatch now supports warm-up periods for alarms

Amazon CloudWatch now lets you configure a warm-up period for metric alarms and log alarms, delaying alarm evaluation for a set time after the alarm is created. For example, a team that provisions a new microservice and its alarms together through a CI/CD pipeline can attach a warm-up period so alarms do not page the on-call engineer while the service is still starting up and has not yet published metrics. Previously, when you created an alarm before the underlying metric was reporting data, CloudWatch evaluated the alarm right away …
